With the additional possible integration of PV electricity, the heat pump can be further optimized in terms of energy technology.

Heat pumps and photovoltaic systems complement each other ideally, as the electricity produced in-house can be used directly for building heating, cooling and drinking water heating. A central role is played by the hot water storage tank, which can be heated to up to 70°C when the electricity yield is high and can therefore contribute to energy self-sufficiency as an energy storage device.

LEGIONELLA PROTECTION

Legionella are pathogens that in high concentrations can lead to severe pneumonia. The bacteria find ideal conditions in stagnant fresh water at 30°C to 50°C. These exact conditions often exist, especially in hot water storage tanks.

The most effective protection against Legionella is thermal disinfection. This requires heating the drinking water to over 60°C. Our heat pumps can fulfill this task without additional electrical heating (i.e. without additional energy costs).
